As water passes through the filter cloth, the flocculated sludge is retained, ensuring optimal thickening. To maintain filter cloth integrity, cleaning nozzles consistently refresh it with soft impact, preserving the delicate floccules. The resulting sludge concentration post-thickening is influenced by the solid content of the feed, flocculation dosing quantity, drum rotation speed, and its dip angle.
